Initial Design
After identifying action items after consulting with my SMEs (Google Scholar articles), I began branching out my course's visual structure in Canva. This was based on various activities stressed employees can do to improve their mental health. I refined my action items and objectives while writing my storyboard and developing the course as I continuously reflected on and implemented the coherence and segmenting principles. Applying feedback from professional IDs also helped me refine my content.

I wrote a text-based storyboard to outline the narrative structure and pacing to ensure a cohesive and engaging learner experience. I continuously refined my content by organizing it in "bite-sized" chunks and eliminating redundant information. I intended to incorporate the voice principle, so I planned to narrate the objectives at the beginning of each activity. This storyboard went through many drafts as I incorporated feedback from ID professionals to improve my content delivery.

Utilizing the free trial, the course development transitioned to Articulate Rise. All visual elements were created in Canva, and stock images and characters were used from the library in Articulate Rise.
The eLearning Heros provided by Articulate helped me learn how to use various platform features. With each new discovery, I returned to my storyboard to plan how to better deliver my content.

If I were to do it again,
Upon reflection, the content could have been further enhanced by focusing on specific examples of how poor mental health manifests in the workplace. By understanding the visible signs of stress, employees can better identify and address these issues within their teams.Lessons Learned and Future Improvements:To strengthen future mental health workshops, I would consider the following:If I were to do it again,
- Research Focus: Prioritize research on concrete examples of workplace stress behaviors to provide a more relatable and impactful learning experience.
- Job Aid Development: Create a variety of job aids, such as checklists, infographics, or templates, to support employees in implementing stress management techniques and accessing relevant resources.
- Target Audience Shift: Consider tailoring the workshop to managers and supervisors instead of employees. They can create a more supportive and healthy work environment by equipping leaders with the knowledge and skills to recognize and address mental health concerns.
- Scenario-Based Learning: Develop scenario-based objectives and action items that challenge managers and supervisors to consider how their behaviors impact employee well-being and cultivate a positive work culture.
